When Jonathan Papelbon was traded to the Nationals, the team he would be joining was one game in front of the Mets for first place. Then began their epic collapse. And Papelbon’s just lost it.
He’s been suspended three games, but appealed the decision to allow him to pitch in this series. And after an at-bat by Bryce Harper that apparently didn’t go as Papelbon had wanted it to, the two had words with each other before Papelbon attacked him.
There’s a bunch of Vines you could see, especially Retweeted on my Twitter account, but this video is the best view of everything, courtesy of CSN Philly.
It looked like Harper was saying, “Are you serious? Are you f—ing kidding me? Shut the f— up. Shut the f— up. Let’s f—ing go. I’ll f—ing go,” before Papelbon grabs his neck and pushes him backwards.

Papelbon went on to give the Phillies the lead in the 9th inning. He was taken out of the game to a chorus of boos by Nationals fans.
