Major news coming out late tonight, and we here at Philly Influencer tend not to sleep. We want to always be on top of everything for you. So, here it is… It looks like the Eagles are set to hire their new Quarterbacks Coach, and it’s not who you’d expect!
Eagles will hire former Browns OC John DeFilippo as QB coach, sources tell me and @PSchrags. From Manziel to Bradford (maybe).

Many of you may groan because you read that he was with the Browns. Yeah, well, that was only for one year, on a team with no weapons, with a ton of drama, and well… it’s the Browns. Why should you be excited? Well, he did work with Derek Carr who is turning out to look pretty damn good, and then there is this from Cleveland.com:
The Browns (2-3) head into Sunday’s game against the Broncos ranked eighth in total offense and 13th in scoring. Quarterback Josh McCown and his unheralded supporting cast deserve much credit for executing the game plan, particularly over the past three weeks.
But DeFilippo, with the help of coach Mike Pettine, has quietly put the offense in good position thanks to his knowledge, confidence and willingness to adapt to circumstances. Whether it’s condensing the playbook for Johnny Manziel or tailoring a plan to an opponent, the coordinator has been as nimble and unflappable as a high-wire walker in the face of lakefront gusts.
“He sees the game, and when a play breaks down, he knows immediately why it happened,” Pettine said. “He is very good at troubleshooting and very good at understanding defenses and what they are trying to take away and how to take advantage of it and how we can get our guys in the right position to make plays.”
I’m more than ok with this move, and it will be good to have another good, young mind, that has Quarterback experience here. Now, who will he and Pederson be coaching at the QB spot?
Defilippo is a great hire he was with the Raiders offense was fine with him there he was screwed in Oakland
