Another one bites the dust. NFL Insider for Fox Sports Jay Glazer is reporting that the Minnesota Vikings have hired former Eagles’ offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.

Shurmur started his coaching career in the NFL as a tight ends and offensive line coach for the Eagles in 1999. He eventually worked his way to become the head coach in Cleveland in 2011 and 2012. However, that didn’t end so well as he finished 9-23 with the Browns.
A league source said Shurmur’s job title has yet to be finalized with the Vikings. Shurmur had been the offensive coordinator for the Eagles the past three seasons, and he served as their interim coach for the 2015 regular season finale after the Eagles fired head coach Chip Kelly. Some of the Eagles’ players including Sam Bradford wanted Shurmur back on the team, so it’ll be interesting to see how Shurmur moving on potentially impacts whether Bradford stays or goes.
