The Buffalo Bills made history on Wednesday night when they announced that they hired Kathryn Smith as a quality control assistant under head coach Rex Ryan. That will make her the first full-time female assistant coach in NFL history.
Of course recently, the San Antonio Spurs hired former WNBA all-star Becky Hammon as an assistant coach in the NBA. Hammon is the first full-time, regular-season female assistant coach in the NBA.
Here’s the Bills’ official press release on Smith.

If Howie Roseman can work in a front office, anybody can.
