There was a point in time (pre-Steph Curry) when Baron Davis was the only reason to watch the Golden State Warriors. That was way back in 2007-08, but it was fun to watch Baron Davis average 21 PPG that year. Fast forward to 2016, now you can catch the 36-year-old Davis suit up for the 76ers D-league affiliate, the Delaware 87ers.Not sure on the details of the contract but it seems like Baron Davis will make the max a player can make in the D-League, $25,000. Davis’ agent, Todd Ramasar, recently told Yahoo Sports: “He is looking forward to playing in the D-League and showing teams what he is capable of. He feels that the timing is right. More than anything, Baron has put in the training and is confident in his body. He feels he is ready to return to the NBA.” For the Sixers purposes, which I doubt this happens, Davis would be eligible to be called up on a 10-day contract by any NBA team. Good luck Baron, hope you find the fountain of youth in the Diamond State.
