Yesterday, the Flyers were one point out of a playoff spot. Today, they’re the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. It’s a New Day, yes it is.
Yes, the Flyers defeated the Blackhawks last night – in regulation, mind you – although that really doesn’t matter in terms of seeding since the Blackhawks aren’t in the same division of the Flyers. But last night’s 3-2 win allowed the Flyers to leapfrog the Detroit Red Wings into a Wild Card spot, two points behind the Penguins.
And the Flyers still have a game in hand over Detroit. And they play the Penguins on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 P.M. IT’S HAPPENING!
