Randall Cunningham was one of the best Eagles’ quarterbacks in history, but over the weekend, something happened that might make him even more proud than making an NFL roster. His daughter, Vashti, won the world indoor high jump championship in Portland, Oregon Sunday aternoon. Vashti goes to school at Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada.
Cunningham jumped 6’5″ to win, becoming the youngest woman this century to win a world indoor track and field championship in any event, according to Pro Football Talk. After, Cunningham announced she’ll be turning professional after graduating and work toward winning a gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
The more interesting part of this? Randall is his daughter’s coach, so it’s almost like he’ll be competing for a gold medal. Kind of. We wish her the best of luck in Rio!
