Busted.
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain has been suspended the first 10 games of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Defensive linemen Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence were handed four-game bans earlier this offseason. McClain missed the first four games last season for violating the substance abuse policy as well. That means a trio of the Cowboys’ starting front seven will not be available for the first four contests.
Gregory fell to the second round of the NFL Draft last year because of a failed drug test at the NFL Combine. “The franchise that drafts me won’t have to worry about me off the field, but the teams that didn’t select me will have to worry about me on the field,” Gregory said at the time.
So much for that.
The suspensions have already led to jokes being made over social media.
The Cowboys Rolando McClain has been suspended 10 games. 10 is also the over/under of games Romo is expected to miss this season.

Luckily the Cowboys have enough defensive depth to absorb the loss of Rolando McClain. pic.twitter.com/jN0NgGrYqJ
