Tyler Goeddel Was Just Struck in the Head By a Pitch

During the bottom of the sixth inning at Citizens Bank Park tonight, Tyler Goeddel was struck by a pitch in the head from White Sox reliever Chris Beck. The first pitch to Goeddel was up and in. The second one nailed him right in the helmet.

I haven’t seen the whole game, but Tom McCarthy says it was the fourth batter hit by the White Sox tonight. Goeddel was able to get up and walk to the dugout under his own power. We’ll update his condition as we know more.
