In today’s Eagles-Vikings game, Ron Brooks suffered a severe injury in which he had to be carted off the field. It didn’t look good. Now, Les Bowen of the Daily News is reporting Brooks is likely to head to IR and be done for the season.
THE EAGLES lost slot corner Ron Brooks to a ruptured quadriceps tendon as he twisted to try to make a tackle late in the first quarter Sunday, the Daily News has learned.
A source close to the situation said Brooks will require surgery and is unlikely to be completely healthy again until next July’s training camp. That means he will go on injured reserve and the team will have a roster spot to fill.
Rough break for Brooks, as well as the Eagles. They were already low on depth at the cornerback position, especially after trading Eric Rowe. Bowen speculates the Eagles will activate rookie corner CJ Smith or safety Terrence Brooks for Sunday night’s game against Dallas.
