On the same day that a great story on Sam Hinkie came out in Sports Illustrated, the biggest piece of ‘The Process’ got one step closer to being a fully contributing member of the Sixers.
Pre-game update:
•Joel Embiid playing time limit increased to 28 minutes, starting tonight vs. Sacramento.— Philadelphia 76ers (@Sixers) November 30, 2016
This is a big step towards getting Embiid fully healthy and will obviously help the team as four more minutes of Embiid will greatly come in handy for head coach Brett Brown. However, there is still a little bit to go as Brown said to reporters on Wednesday evening that there are still restrictions with Embiid.
#Sixers Brown: ‘The back to backs have not changed’ with Embiid. Says will decide about Friday/Saturday as soon as tomorrow.

Although he cannot play back-to-backs quite yet, this minute increase has Brown on Cloud 9.
Coach Brown says “giddy” is one word that comes to mind with Embiid’s playing time being increased.

During Embiid’s 28 minutes on Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings, Brown also said that he plans to play both Embiid and Jahlil Okafor at the same time to see what unfolds.
