The Joel Embiid-less Sixers Got Routed by the Atlanta Hawks

And the winning streak ended at one.

Joel Embiid sat out for the second time in three games and the Philadelphia 76ers were routed by the Atlanta Hawks 117-96 at Philips Arena on Saturday night.

Jahlil Okafor had 18 points and six rebounds to lead the Sixers, who fell to 1-8 on the season.

Sergio Rodriguez posted 13 points and four assists, Dario Saric tallied 12 points and seven rebounds and Nik Stauskas added 12 points.

Dennis Schroder filled the stat sheet with 16 points, eight helpers and five rebounds for Atlanta, which moved to 7-2 on the year. Kent Bazemore led the Hawks in scoring with 17 points and Dwight Howard recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

An Ersan Ilyasova 3-pointer at the 3:48 mark of the third pulled the Sixers within 76-74, but they never got any closer. The Hawks answered by ending the frame on an 11-4 run to go up 87-78 heading into the fourth, where cruised to the finish line.
