Whether you revered him or wanted him to shut his mouth, Terrell Owens was the lightning rod of Philadelphia sports during his brief two-year stay with the Eagles.
T.O. joined the 97.5 The Fanatic studios Wednesday for their Morning Show with Anthony Gargano to discuss his playing days in Philly.

Owens proclaimed that Andy Reid was “by far” the best coach he’s every played for.
Andy Reid is by far the best coach that I’ve had because he understood what he had as a talent and he maximized it. Andy knew what he had in me as a receiver.
Reid and the Eagles had been lacking big-name wide receivers and with Owens’ presence, Big Red elected to throw the ball downfield more as opposed to his more traditional West Coast Offense.
From the very first snap, Andy unleashed me. He let it go. It was a go-route.
Despite being in the city just two years, T.O. said he felt appreciated.
Appreciate, that sums it up. When I left San Francisco, I didn’t feel appreciated … Coming here to Philly and then going through training camp, the whole process, being in Lincoln Financial Field, I felt appreciated.
And what about the fans?
These are probably the most passionate fans I’ve been around … I understood when I came to the stadium, the Eagles played on Sunday and the fans worked hard all week to see. I tried not to disappoint.
Owens also remembered the first time flying in.
The first time that I flew in and came in on a plane. I remember having my fur coat on. It was cold that day too, had the press conference, just driving in at night too, just seeing the skyline and looking at the buildings and seeing “We Got T.O.” … I did everything that I could to help the team get to the Super Bowl.
That he did, but the Eagles ran into a dynasty in the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX.
