Ian Rapoport broke the news on Twitter Saturday morning.
The #Eagles will activate rookie CB Sidney Jones and he will play vs. the #Cowboys, sources say. A reward for the second-rounder’s hard work returning from a torn Achilles in April.

It is unclear how much Jones will play on Sunday mostly due to his conditioning. He’s been around the team constantly but has only been practicing since December 13. He was seen warming up with the team before Monday’s game against the Raiders.
Sidney Jones is working out on the field still He’s out there with four other DBs. They are working with Corey Undlin doing lateral movement drills. Jones is cat quick. That’s for sure.

It will be interesting to see how the secondary looks moving into next season with guys like Jalen Mills, Ronald Darby, Sidney Jones, and Rasul Douglas pushing for starting spots, but that’s a story for another time.
Regardless, it will be great to see our second round pick get some play time before the end of the season. Smile Eagles fans, this is incredible news.
