On the heels of requesting an interview with Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo, the Arizona Cardinals are also requesting an interview with the Birds’ defensive coordinator, according to Ian Rapoport.
#AZCardinals have put in some interview requests as they try to replace Bruce Arians: #Eagles DC Jim Schwartz & #Patriots DC Matt Patricia.

Yesterday, Adam Schefter reported Schwartz is a leading candidate to get the New York Giants’ gig.
Jim Schwartz is expected to be the favorite to be the next coach for the New York Giants, sources tell @AdamSchefter. https://t.co/agBV3UI2uG

Schwartz’s defense shined this year and finished first in the league in rushing yards allowed per game with 79.2. They also finished 17th in passing yards allowed per game with 227.3, which is actually a lot better than most expected heading into the season.
One thing’s for sure – the fact that the Eagles are 13-3 has a lot to do with the interest in their coordinators/coaches.
