“You start chasing perception, you got a long life ahead of you son.” Well, we’re off and running here in Philly. The Eagles took the field for the first time in front of the media today, down at the Novacare complex. The number 1 question for head coach Chip Kelly was off of the latest comments made by former Eagles running back, now in Buffalo, Lesean McCoy. ICYMI, Shady said: “Chip got rid of all the good Black players.” Today, Chip Kelly handled the peppering of questions with ease because the allegations are all from a disgruntled former employee. Interesting notes from Chips presser today:
- Last years, 1st round selection Marcus Smith is already dinged up. Leg/Groin injury.
- Open competition at QB this summer. Sanchez may be the starter come week 1.
- Teams won’t be attempting 2 point conversions just because of the rule changes. Eagles kickers are a combined 43/45 from 32 yards out since Chip took over.
- Nolan Carroll getting reps with the first team at CB. (Opposite Byron Maxwell) Walter Thurmond getting reps at safety.
