Week 10 Fantasy Football Stars and Stiffs

The double-digit weeks are starting and that means it’s crunch time for all you fantasy owners out there. The lineup carousel continues as we look to find the right horses to ride into the finish line. Who is this year’s California Chrome? Is Melvin Gordon or David Johnson the lead horse so far? One thing is for sure, if you own either one of these guys, your season has been thoroughly enjoyable up to this point.

As always, I look forward to your opinions and feedback. You can tweet me with any questions (@TCutillo23) and leave your comments below. For my statistical hounds out there I will put last week’s stats in parentheses so you can see how I performed. Here are my picks for Week 10.

WEEK 10 TRIPLE THREAT CHALLENGE

Cam Newton (KC) – Newton is finally showing glimpses of what we saw least season. He may never come full circle to the point of excellence, but he still will have games where he throws 35+ times and run for 10 more. He is starting to heat up and a trip to visit the Kool-Aid man and Mr. SAWFT is just what the doctor ordered. Feel safe to ride with him for the rest of the year.

David Johnson (SF) – Johnson has not disappointed this year. He is as steady as they come and continues to put up double-digit point totals with consistency. Make no mistake about it, he is this year’s Priest Holmes!

Julian Edelman (NE) – Edelman has fought injuries all year and played in an offense for the first four games of the season that was built to win at any cost. The biggest cost was his lack of production. However, now that Tom Brady is back, Edelman is finally getting into the groove.

For fantasy purposes, all my articles are predicated upon a PPR-based system.
