This week, we celebrate Lex Luger. Lex Luger won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship from Hollywood Hulk Hogan on August 4, 1997, at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan. It was on the 100th (99th) episode of WCW Monday Nitro, and it was at the absolute peak of my wrestling fandom. I’ve said it before – 1997 was the best year in pro wrestling history.
We dive deep into all the happenings on that episode of WCW Monday Nitro, which included a major defection from the nWo to WCW.
🚨EPISODE 332: Part 2🚨@VaughnMJohnson & @_piccone dive deep into the 8/4/97 episode of WCW Monday Nitro when Lex Luger won the WCW Title.
