UPDATE: Kacie McDonnell is heading to NESN as an anchor and reporter.
McDonnell will appear on the network’s three main sports news programs, NESN Sports Today, NESN Live and NESN Sports Update.
“We are very excited to welcome an on-air personality of Kacie’s caliber to NESN’s sports news team,” NESN vice president of programming and production Joseph Maar said via the network’s press release. “Kacie brings an up-beat and engaging personality with a quick wit and passion for sports that should endear her to fans of New England sports.”

After two years in Kansas City, our Villanova favorite Kacie McDonnell is moving on. Today was officially her last day at the NBC affiliate KSHB 41 in Kansas City. Kacie posted the video below on her Instagram, saying, “It’s still a secret,” and she can’t say where she’s going just yet. She said that she is moving to the East Coast and “closer to home.” Our sources have told us that she is not coming back to Philly and that her career is moving on to a “bigger city.” Nothing official but I’ll narrow it down to three cities: the Big Apple, Boston or Miami.
I highly doubt she’s moving back to do sports in Baltimore. Just my guess.
