Eagles make eight selections on final day of 2025 NFL Draft

The Philadelphia Eagles added eight more rookies to their roster, as preparation for the 2025 NFL season continues.

Ty Robinson, Smael Mondon, and Antwaun Powell-Ryland were among the selections made by executive vice president and general manager Howie Roseman, and the rest of the Eagles front office. These eight players will join first round selection Jihaad Campbell and second round pick Andrew Mukuba at training camp later this year.

Here is a full rundown of each of Saturday’s selections:

  • Round 4, Pick 111: DT Ty Robinson, Nebraska

Standing at 6-feet-6, 310 lbs, Ty Robinson was one of the more versatile defensive linemen in the NFL Draft. Robinson played parts of five seasons at the University of Nebraska, recording 12 sacks, one forced fumble, and defending 12 passes.

It was a shock that Robinson was still available in the fourth round, making this another solid pick from the front office.

  • Round 5, Pick 145: CB Mac McWilliams, Central Florida

One of two secondary pieces selected by the Eagles, Mac McWilliams should have an early opportunity to play.

McWilliams played four seasons at the University of Alabama-Birmingham before transferring to the University of Central Florida for his fifth and final collegiate season. McWilliams only registered two interceptions (1 for TD) during his NCAA career, but wasn’t afraid to stick his nose into the action (132 total tackles).

At 5-feet-10, 185 lbs, McWilliams may be a bit short, but expect him to make up for it in drive and energy.

  • Round 5, Pick 161: LB Smael Mondon, Georgia

Another NFL Draft, another Georgia Bulldog heading to Philadelphia.

Smael Mondon was the first of two fifth round selections by the Eagles, joining several other Georgia standouts in Vic Fangio’s defense. Mondon was a starter in each of his last three seasons, totaling 50+ tackles or more. He also produced eight sacks and one interception, earning Second-Team All-SEC honors in 2023.

Expect Mondon to feature heavily on special teams to start.

  • Round 5, Pick 168: C/G Drew Kendall, Boston College

The Eagles love their offensive-line depth and added three new faces there on Saturday.

The first was Drew Kendall, a three-year starter at Boston College, and son of former first-round pick Pete. Kendall earned First-Team All-ACC honors in 2024, while also serving as a team captain for the Golden Eagles.

Although current center Cam Jurgens recently signed a long-term contract extension, Kendall is a good piece to have for the future.

  • Round 6, Pick 181: QB Kyle McCord, Syracuse

Kenny Pickett’s departure to Cleveland this offseason forced the Eagles to add another quarterback to the mix.

Kyle McCord was that guy, becoming the first Syracuse quarterback selected by the Eagles since Donovan McNabb. McCord spent his first three collegiate seasons at Ohio State University, enjoying a productive 2023 campaign (24 touchdowns, 3,170 passing yards).

He concluded his career at Syracuse, taking another major step forward in production (4,779 yards, 34 touchdowns). A New Jersey native, McCord will battle with Tanner McKee for the No. 2 job, unless the Eagles sign a veteran backup this summer.

  • Round 6, Pick 191: T Myles Hinton, Michigan

Both Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata are in the latter stages of their NFL careers, so adding Myles Hinton to the offensive corps was a positive addition.

Hinton brings ample size to the mix, standing at 6-feet-7 and 323 lbs. Although he lost his starting job during Michigan’s National Championship run in 2023, he rebounded by making 10 appearances in 2024, earning All-Big Ten honorable mention honors.

He might have to wait for his opportunity, but overall Hinton’s size alone makes him a must-have.

  • Round 6, Pick 207: T Cameron Williams, Texas

Cameron Williams is also a player that might have to wait for his opportunity on the offensive line.

Williams was a three-star recruit coming out of high school, switching his commitment from Oregon to Texas. A Texas native, the 6-feet-6, 317 lb. lineman Williams took over the starting right tackle spot for the Longhorns in 2024.

Although he didn’t make many starts in his collegiate career, Williams certainly could be a player for the Eagles in the future.

  • Round 6, Pick 209: OLB Antwaun Powell-Ryland, Virginia Tech

The Eagles final selection will surely have Vic Fangio excited.

Antwaun Powell-Ryland was one of the top EDGE rushers in college football last season, totaling 16 sacks and 20 tackles-for-loss (TFL’s) for the Virginia Tech Hokies. After beginning his career at the University of Florida, Powell-Ryland enjoyed much more success in Blacksburg.

Powell-Ryland should also see special team opportunities, but could also provide an impact on third down situations.
