Report: DeSean Jackson Is Seeking up to $12 Million Per Year

Which wide receiver hasn’t been linked to the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason?

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is reporting that DeSean Jackson is seeking between $10-12 million per season.

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, meanwhile, states that multiple teams are interested in Jackson’s services, which could ensue into a bidding war.

By all appearances, big money will be flowing in his direction. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Jackson is expected to agree to terms on Thursday, the first day of free agency.

The candidates include Washington, Tampa Bay, and multiple other teams. The interest is sufficiently strong to permit Jackson’s representatives to declare bidding open when the legal tampering period commences on Tuesday, if that’s what they choose to do. Then, it would be just a matter of playing the waiting game.

I’m all for a Jackson reunion in Philly for the right price, but if he’s going to command that kind of money at 30 years old, it might be best to move onto another option.
