Morning Brew 6-26-15

It was NBA Draft night on Thursday and yet again the guy (most) Philly fans wanted, D’Angelo Russell was taken by the Lakers at No. 2. However, the Sixers went and took Jahlil Okafor out of Duke. That now gives the Sixers Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, and Okafor as their big men and while only two can play at a time, not many teams can say they have three young and talented big men when they are all healthy. Okafor had some great words for the city of Philadelphia once he was drafted. (Sixers.com)

The Flyers and the rest of the NHL revealed the 2015-16 schedule, and their first game will be on the road against the Tampa Bay Lightning on October 8th. Their first home game will be October 12 against the Carolina Panthers, and they’ll welcome the Stanley Cup Champions Chicago Blackhawks on October 14. (Flyers.com)

There were a few highlights from NBA Draft night, follow these links to check them out:

I don’t get why people still delete tweets. If you’re a celeb, it’s already been screenshotted and sent to a blog. Just leave it there. Save the embarrassment.
