Morning Brew for July 13, 2015

Hope you guys had an awesome weekend. We’re one week closer to Eagles football and one week closer to the end of the Phillies season. At least we get a bit of a reprieve this week due to the All-Star break. Let’s check out the best from the weekend.

-The U.S. Women’s National soccer team was treated to a parade in New York City on Friday after bringing home the Women’s World Cup trophy. [CNN.com]

-Novak Djokovic is once again the best men’s tennis player on the planet. He took out Roger Federer for the second year in a row at the Men’s Wimbledon Final. [FOX Sports]

-Serena Williams won her 21st grand slam championship by defeating Garbine Muguruza in the Women’s Final. [FOX Sports]

-Conor McGregor is the interim UFC Featherweight Champion as he defeated Chad Mendes at UFC 189 Saturday night. McGregor looked human during the first and part of the second round, but he dominated at the end, giving him the TKO win.

The Robbie Lawler-Rory MacDonald fight might have been the best of the night. Lots of blood. [Deadspin]

-Marshawn Lynch may be the best kickball player in the world. [Deadspin]

-Bills offensive line coach, Aaron Kromer, was arrested for allegedly punching a boy and threatening to kill his family if he told anybody. [ESPN]

-Florida State football players didn’t have a good look at all this past week. Head coach, Jimbo Fisher, reacted by making bars off limits to his players. [The Big Lead]

-Union fans are awesome. They are also clever. Check them out mocking the Portland Timbers chainsaw celebration on Saturday night. [YouTube]

-J.P. Crawford can’t be called up to the Phillies soon enough. [CSN Philly]

-FOX Sports indefinitely suspended Donovan McNabb for his second DUI offense. He could go to jail for three months. [Pro Football Talk]
