When the Pope was officially announced as making a trip to Philadelphia in September of this year, there was no doubt in my mind the people around here would try to make a quick buck off of it. Some people are selling Pope passes or other items, like concert tickets, because they know they won’t be able to get into the city. Some aren’t having much luck.
One particular person is selling four Pope passes on Craigslist for and wants four Eagles tickets in the lower bowl of Lincoln Financial Field. Shrewd business move.
“i have four pope tickets for saturday afternoon. i am looking to swap the four tickets for four eagles tickets. lower level only- i will pay face value for eagles tickets. let me know date and section for consideration.”
The ad goes so far as to say the person will pay face value for tickets in the lower bowl, so if someone winds up selling this person the Eagles tickets in the lower bowl, they’ll pretty much be getting paid hundreds of dollars to go and see the Pope. There’s a list of more offers for Pope tickets here.
