Patti LaBelle is a Philly original. A treasure, if you will. She’s 71 years old and still going strong. She commenced the Sixers’ home opener last night with a rendition of the national anthem that I’ve heard many love and criticize. To each his and her own, I guess. Some thought she yelled too much and was showing off for her city, and some thought it was good.
