RIP Jason Kelce

The O-Line had drastically improved play this past weekend, but it won’t come without cost. In sad news it seems as though to get a win, we also had to take a loss. That loss came at the cost of starting Center, Jason Kelce.

All joking aside, I wanted to use this post as an opportunity to touch on something that keeps getting talked about by the panicked fan and the radio outlets… The locker room. Everyone talks about how they are on the verge of shattering. How people are questioning Chip. How DeMarco is about to snap. Listen to me closely.

A.) Murray is known as a leader in the locker room. We aren’t dealing with a TO, DeSean or LeSean here. He will be just fine and is known as a professional that takes great pride his craft and being a professional. It’s why Chip signed him!

B.) People that want to question Chip’s crazy ideas, sleep monitors, smoothies, and football sorcery were going to do that win or lose. This is why Chip has been preaching CULTURE. When you have a solid foundation of men that keep other men (or boys) in check you don’t have locker room melt downs, and teams giving up only 5 games into the season.

C.) We would panic over any rumor, bad week, or possible misstep. I’m a sarcastic ass, and will joke around and have fun with it, but the reason I’ve made it this far in life without hugging someone and going head first into the Delaware is because I’ve learned to not ride the roller coaster.

D.) You wouldn’t see pictures and stories like this one coming out if the locker room was on the verge of imploding. They are clearly still joking, having fun, and keeping it loose. CULTURE, CULTURE, CULTURE.

Let’s all have the passion we do, go crazy during the games, and feel free to voice our opinions. However, in the end let the process play out and see where it goes. This team is not as good as the National Media was giving them credit for after approximately 2 minutes of Preseason action, BUT they also aren’t as bad as we are all making them out to be.

So, it’s on to the Giants on Monday night, and hopefully leading the NFC East come Tuesday morning. Until then let’s all take a valium, have a beer (or 12), and just let it play out. Also, keep Jason Kelce and his family in your prayers. You were taken from us too soon. Now sleep peacefully our beautiful bearded Prince!

Totally agree with this. I think this entire situation is a product of media over-hype, and everyone hit the panic button as soon as we lost a few games. This team needs time to gel, and they will. Give Bradford a chance to get comfortable in this offense, and give the new players a chance to get used to everything. If we all chill and enjoy the ride, it could end up being a fun season.
