Last night, the Flyers hosted the Kings and also honored Simon Gagne. Gagne is beloved in this city, despite never being one of the best athletes to ever grace us with his presence. That takes a lot to do. Gagne was on the ice with his kids for the ceremonial puck drop before the game, and after Claude Giroux shook his kids’ hands, Gagne’s son wanted some of the same from the Kings’ Dustin Brown.
Brown left him high and dry.
So, you would think the Flyers would totally demolish the Kings because of Browns’ dickishness. Nope. They lost, 3-2, in a shootout. Of course.
