That statement tells the world what we already knew. This isn’t about second chances. This is all about Jerry Jones thinking that the Cowboys have the best chance at winning a Super Bowl with Greg Hardy on the team. Think about it. The release of these photos was an out for the Cowboys organization. Since the photos were apparently “under seal” at the time prior to when the Cowboys signed Hardy, they could’ve easily come out now and said that now that they’ve seen the photos, they’re absolutely outraged because it’s worse than they originally thought. Sure we would all know that they were full of shit if they came out and said that. But, it wouldn’t matter because it would be the right thing to do (albeit a few months late). Deadspin handed them a way out on a silver platter and Jerry Jones gave us all the middle finger and came out with that bullshit statement tonight.
It’s funny that the NFL will fine Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams for paying tribute to his late father with words on his eye black, but a POS criminal like Greg Hardy can still be employed by the NFL and a scumbag like Jerry Jones. It’s time to put this whole “America’s Team” bullshit to bed. Jerry Jones, the whole Cowboys organization and Roger Goodell are all a disgrace!
