By now, you’re probably aware the Twitter account of the Los Angeles Kings is pure gold. It was one of the first professional sports teams Twitter accounts to really take on a personality of its own.
That personality of theirs – and knowledge – really took center stage when the account broke out a Philadelphia KiXX reference.
To set the stage, the Flyers appeared to have scored a goal about halfway in the second period to break a 1-1 tie. The refs ruled it a goal on the ice but following the review from Toronto (where all reviews are handled), it was ruled to be a “distinct kicking motion.”
Then the Kings broke out a goodie involving the city’s former indoor soccer team, which folded in 2010.
