In a bit of ridiculousness that came out of the Sixers’ sixth consecutive loss to start the season tonight was Jason Smith being a Grade A douchebag and elbowing Nerlens Noel in the chest during a play during the last two minutes of the third quarter.
Noel would go on to be ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul, while Smith received an offensive foul call upon review. Later in the game, he got hit in the stomach and was called for a defensive foul, but apparently got the wind knocked out of him. The crowd cheered while he was on the court. We’ll hear about that one for the next 80 years. Get your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren ready.
The Sixers lost. Oh, wait, I said that already. Video below.
