Sam Bradford is coming off possibly his best performance as an Eagle. That’s the good news. The bad news? The draft picks from the Bradford trade have been finalized, and it didn’t favor the Eagles.
When the Eagles acquired the oft-injured Bradford in March, part of the deal involved a conditional Rams draft pick that served as injury protection. If Bradford played 0% of Philadelphia’s offensive snaps, the Eagles would have received the Rams’ third round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. If Bradford plays less than 50% of the snaps, St. Louis would have had to surrender their fourth round selection to the Eagles. But now none of those conditions are true. Bradford has played every single one of Philadelphia’s snaps through the first eight games of the season.
Here is what the Eagles’ draft board will look like:
So, we didn’t get the Rams’ third round pick for next year, which would’ve been a nice addition. Instead, we’re hoping Bradford continues to get better each week and leads this team to the playoffs.
Oh, and we beat Dallas!
