It’s New Year’s Eve, and I am ready for the calendar to flip over and say 2016. This year has been sad, frustrating, maddening, and just overall shitty for Philadelphia fans. We deserve better! Well, it doesn’t start getting better just yet.
Multiple NFL agents have now come out to describe what working with the Eagles this past year was like. Let’s just say, it wasn’t good.
One of the most dysfunctional front offices I worked with all season. It was a mess.”
“There was a clear divide between Howie Roseman and Chip and Ed.”
“Nobody liked to work there.”
Well, isn’t that just great? I’m not sure if the blame on this is on Chip Kelly for his treatment of Howie Roseman, whether it’s on Roseman for being a huge dickbag after he lost his power struggle with Chip, or if it’s on everybody. I do know, I blame Jeffrey Lurie for not having control over the entire situation. I don’t care who your boy is – business is business and you never let relationships affect money and performance, period.
Yesterday during Lurie’s press conference, he stated:
I think the best approach is a real collaborative approach.”
Well, don’t you think you should’ve done a better job controlling your dogs last season and making sure that it was more “collaborative” then?! I guess not. Also, one agent dropped in with a real knowledge bomb:
I thought it would be Howie or Chip. Looks like this time, Howie won.”
No shit! Who was going to win the power struggle… The smoothie guy in the cafeteria? Idiot!
Well, for now we sit an wait to see what our next destiny will be. All I know is that if Lurie doesn’t get this organization under control, I’m calling for his head next! I can only handle so much disappointment, not of my own doing, and continue on. I need some shelter from all of the pain. Let’s hope this next year we begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Here’s to hoping! *Sits in a dark corner hugging my knees sobbing*
