Last night, during the Flyers’ 3-2 shootout loss at the Columbus Blue Jackets, Brandon Dubinsky continued to be the shithead hockey player he’s known for and purposely tried to injure Jake Voracek by sticking his leg out while Voracek was along the boards. Wayne Simmonds once again got two minutes for roughing, five for fighting and a 10-minute misconduct for the second time this week. NHL rules are stupid.
Dubinsky is known for targeting the top players on other teams – he was suspended one game for cross-checking Sidney Crosby in the neck earlier this season. He won’t be suspended for this one, but he’ll probably be targeted the next time these teams play. Maybe the Flyers will actually win one against Columbus, then. Maybe. Maybe not. Probably not. Nope, they won’t.
And, of course, the shithead netted the game-winner in the shootout, too.
