For the most part, the stories that have come out since Chip Kelly was fired have been pretty lopsided against Kelly. So, when a report comes out that goes against what we’ve been hearing over and over again, it’s important to bring that story to light.
As is the case with just about every report that we’ve seen since Tuesday night, players are speaking on the condition of anonymity. It’s getting out of hand.
Per Eliot Shorr-Parks, a player had this to say about a special few players in the Eagles’ locker room. Oh and yes, this player is also speaking on the condition of anonymity.
A select few guys wanted to be babied and Chip wouldn’t do it.”
The player was than asked if Kelly lost the locker room. He would go onto say the following.
Of course not. It was a handful of guys. If that. But it led to some tension.”
At the end of the day, a divided locker room falls on the head coach. Kelly has paid the ultimate price with his job. However, it sounds like there’s a bunch of players in that locker room that need to grow the hell up.
