It’s been a hell of a year for Chip Kelly so far and it’s only going to get worse if the Eagle lose to the Skins on Saturday night. Kelly even has Snoop Dogg pissed at him now. He’s had issues with DeMarco Murray and LeSean McCoy. He’s been in a tough spot with Sam Bradford. Hell, one of his only PR wins this year came against a reporter.
As we approach the end of 2015, luck may finally be on Kelly’s side, at least off the field. Bleacher Report has given Chip an award. They recently did the 2015 B/R Player Hater Awards. To qualify for these awards you must fit the following criteria.
“Player hating is any act intended to suppress or discount someone else’s success and/or shine. These acts include, but are not limited to: slander, libel, think pieces, dry snitching, calling the police, fav hoarding, perpetrating, scumbaggery and most side shading.”
What Player Hater award did Kelly win? He won the Most Diabolical Player Hater Award. Here’s the breakdown of his award.
“Diabolical hating is what happens when narcissism, personal hangups and plausible deniability combine forces to undermine a player’s shine. No one pulls off this tricky bit of alchemy quite like Eagles coach Chip Kelly, who probably isn’t racist but definitely isn’t above trading away his best players and benching the league’s most sought-after free agent for reasons that remain entirely his own.”
More from B/R:
“Hatin‘ Superlative: “Kid Who Stole Cash from Your Wallet in Eighth Grade but You Couldn’t Prove It and Now You Think About Him Every Day”
So congratulations Chip Kelly on your award!
