With all of the attention in the city that the hiring of Jerry Colangelo and the life struggles of Jahlil Okafor have been getting as of late, we’ve almost forgotten about the trials and tribulations of Joel Embiid. Embiid’s attitude has been one of the things plaguing the Sixers. We had already been told that he already will most likely miss the start of the 2016-2017 season. Plus, there’s no telling if he’ll actually ever play a game for the Sixers with his foot injury.
It’s just not the way that you want to start off your career. Thankfully, Colangelo was brought in at the time he was because he may be able to save the sinking Sixers ship. On Thursday, we finally got the first glimpse of hope with Embiid. Sixers beat writer for the Inquirer, Keith Pompey, was able to get video of the big man doing a little shooting on the court today.
