It has finally happened, the Philadelphia Eagles have cut veteran wide receiver Miles Austin, according to Howard Eskin. Many people questioned the signing when Chip Kelly decided to bring the veteran on board in the City of Brotherly Love and deservedly so. Austin was supposedly signed to be a veteran presence but only ended up making rookie mistakes himself with multiple dropped passes, lazy routes, etc.
Miles Austin has been cut by #eagles .. Took too long to happen.

Same sources tell me Chip Kelly was getting some pressure from within to cut Miles Austin and #Eagles finally did it. @FOX29philly

Of course Kelly was getting pressure from within to cut Austin, it was an obvious move at this point. It was a disgrace to see Austin receive snaps on the field over younger, more promising wide receivers such as Jordan Matthews, Josh Huff, Nelson Agholor and even Jonathan Krause. Considering the “young guns” at wide receiver are all finally healthy, it makes sense to let Austin walk now.
Who knows? Maybe he’ll catch on with a contender somewhere…right Eliot Shorr-Parks? LOL.
#Eagles should release Miles Austin. It's a win-win for both. They get to see young WRs, he gets chance to maybe catch on with a contender

In former Eagles news, Cary Williams has reportedly been released by the Seattle Seahawks. Man, this week just keeps on getting better and better.
The #Seahawks are releasing CB Cary Williams, source said. A big-money free agent.
