Many of you, including all of us here, have asked when, or if, Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie and/or CEO Scott O’Neil will speak about the recent Jahlil Okafor incident and latest reports. Last night was the media’s first chance to try to get a word from at least one of them, but it doesn’t seem like they’re going to talk about it any time soon.
One has to wonder if they’ll ever made public comments about the incidents, or if they just left Okafor and Brett Brown out to dry and handle it themselves. Either way, the feeling surrounding the team right now has been marred and nobody over there is making it any better.
As for the game, the Sixers won. Here’s Hinkie and Joel Embiid celebrating the Sixers’ first win together. I wonder if tenders and Shirley Temples were served in that suite?
