This had to be coming, and after the release of the second video by TMZ earlier today, it did. The Sixers have suspended Jahlil Okafor for the two fights last week in Boston for two games. One fight per game, I see.
Marshall Harris, tonight on Philly Sports Talk: “I don’t think the Sixers should suspend Jahlil Okafor because if you haven’t done it to this point, why all of a sudden would you do it now?” Welp. I’m sure he’s not alone in that thinking. The Sixers released a statement on the suspension.
UPDATE: Here’s some video of Brett Brown addressing the media after the team suspended Okafor. He also said that Okafor was suspended due to today’s release of the second video of a fight in Boston, which is hilarious. Good work, Sixers.

The thing that we can do two-fold that we show him tough love. That we understand he’s ours. That we will help him. And help him we will.”
Sam Hinkie walked by reporters and would not comment on the situation. His name not being on the Sixers statement about Okafor may be because he didn’t agree with suspending him, Spike Eskin thinks.
