If I told you DeMarco Murray didn’t make the Pro Bowl, would you be surprised? Well, he didn’t. But Darren Sproles did, and rightfully so.
Sproles joins Fletcher Cox, in his first ever trip to Hawaii, and Jason Peters as the lone Eagles representatives to join the NFL Pro Bowlers. Sproles, who is 32 years old, is on the squad as a punt returner, though he also may have been the best Eagles running back all season, also. Peters is making his eighth trip to the Pro Bowl, with Sproles making his second.
The big story here is Cox finally getting some recognition as one of, if not the premiere, defensive end in the league. He’s recorded 7.5 sacks, 56 tackles and has forced three fumbles thus far. He’s thrown some of the best quarterbacks in the league off their game, and he’s finally been rewarded for it.
If you want to go and check out the Pro Bowl in person for whatever reason, you can get tickets here. The game takes place on January 31st at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
