Well, Bennie Logan won’t be participating in the Eagles’ season finale tomorrow against the Giants, as the team has officially put him on injured reserve.

Logan has been hampered by a calf injury sustained during the now infamous and embarrassing Cardinals game on Sunday, December 20th. Everyone assumed this was coming, anyway.
To replace his spot on the roster, the Eagles signed cornerback Randall Evans from the practice squad. But, this leaves an interesting question as to whether Logan will be back next season with a fat, new contract. According to Over The Cap, Logan is set to make $745,500 in base salary next season and his cap hit is under $1 million.
According to Pro Football Focus, Logan is rated as the 14th defensive tackle in the league out of 71 players that qualified. So, one would have to believe he’d like a raise and a new contract heading into the final year of his current one. When NFL players get to this point without a new contract by the time training camp starts in the summer, they hold out for a new contract. It’ll be interesting to see the road the Eagles and Logan take with this.
