The Sixers lost to the Celtics yesterday. Badly. The game, originally scheduled for Saturday, was moved to Sunday due to the blizzard. That’s really not an excuse to come out and play poorly, but what’s concerning is Brett Brown’s comments after the game. [CSN Philly]
I don’t even know what team I coached tonight,” Brown said. “That’s not who we are. Fortunately we got a few wins on the board previous to this game where you can say, ‘Yeah, I agree, we see what you saw.’ I’m not going to be out of control with my comment, that’s what we saw. We were poor.”
…
“T.J.’s the only one that really played well or with a spirit that we have talked about and I think delivered on as of late,” Brown said. “We give the Celtics credit. We were poor.”
“Maybe it has something to do with the snowstorm,” Brown said. “I doubt it. We just didn’t come with the energy, for whatever reason.”
Yup, couldn’t be better. Fire Hinkie already.
Note: I don’t put much stock into any of this, but I did enjoy Brown’s reaction to the loss.
Sorry coach, but the Sixers need to keep pace with the Lakers, and hold onto the top spot in lottery positioning, so Sixers, keep losing.
GO DODGERS! !!
