If you’ve seen the Cincinnati Bengals play this season, you know their defense is special. And the man who makes that defense work is Paul Guenther, the Bengals’ defensive coordinator. And he’s becoming a hot commodity in the head coaching searches for teams in the NFL right now.
We’ve seen all the reports of what favorites the Eagles have and who they haven’t reached out to, but Guenther is apparently a guy they’ve requested to interview, according to Ian Rapoport.
#Bengals defensive coordinator Paul Guenther will interview with #Browns on Sunday after the game, source said. #Eagles also requested him.

Guenther coached his squad to the second-best total points against and points against per game in the league this season, and the Bengals ranked 11th in yards allowed per game.
Guenther would be a great acquisition to this team, but I have a feeling the Eagles want to go with another offensive coach, as that’s been Jeffrey Lurie’s prerogative in the coaching searches he’s headed as the owner of the Eagles. I know a lot of the fans would like a defensive coach to take the reigns, but I just don’t see it happening.

It’s about time they interview a DC! Should be Sean McDermott though? Hire Sean as HC and keep Pat Shurmur as OC & keep Bradford
