B2 Cafe Employee from “The Cell Phone Incident” Was Threatened with Bleach

So the story goes like this: South Philly mom Francesca Depasquale posted a Facebook rant about an incident at B2 Cafe.  I’ll let her post do the talking:

Francesca tweet

Depasquale received instant support following the status update.  Based on the facts presented in her story, her reaction makes sense.  Other commenters came forward about previous experiences with the B2 staff. Some were surprised and others shared their personal stories of hardship.  B2 released the video of the incident caught on one of their security cameras.  Here’s the footage posted via Facebook:

It’s hard to tell exactly what happened, but it doesn’t really match up to Depasquale’s colorful story.  According to Philly Mag:

…Shortly after Depasquale posted her rant on Facebook, another woman — not one from the table — came in and demanded to know who the perpetrator was. “When she figured out who it was, she grabbed a bottle of spray cleaner and threatened to bleach her,” Trachtenberg alleges. “My male employee physically ushered her out.”

I’m sure there were other ways it could have been handled.  Maybe the employee could have been less hostile and maybe Depasquale should have taken it a little easier. But as they say, “Beware of how you deal with customers or you might just get bleach sprayed on you.” That’s a saying right?

Yeah I’d hardly believe some troglodyte who uses the word “fuckin” in every other sentence.
