Zac Rinaldo might not be a Flyer anymore, but it’s still fun to check in on him once in a while. And last night, Rinaldo hit Lightning forward Cedric Paquette up high and received a two-minute minor. Compare that to Radko Gudas dishing out legal hits and getting tossed from the game, I’d say that’s… interesting. [Note: I’m not a big fan of those hits Gudas dishes out because he’s putting his team at a disadvantage due to his reputation. But it’s weird he’d get tossed from a game for legal hits and Rinaldo doesn’t for an illegal one.]
Rinaldo will have a hearing for the hit tomorrow. Here’s the hit:
