As the Eagles continue in the off-season we all know that one of the major focuses is the secondary, as it has been for many years. Do we re-sign Walter Thurmond? Is Eric Rowe ready to take over on the outside? Do we need to sign another depth player with the ability to start?
Well, if it’s up to Nolan Carroll he is the answer to our questions at corner. He also had some very positive things to say about the city and his desire to stay per CSN.
“Coming here two years ago, I just fell in love with how the city is and how the fans are, how the organization is. Everybody is welcoming. Everybody loves each other. That’s something you don’t see in a lot of organizations and a lot of people.”
Nolan played very steady for us on the outside previous to his injury, and may have been a dark horse candidate to be the best player in the secondary. However, to remain in Philly he will more than likely have to take a “Prove it” type deal that doesn’t leave room for the organization to get burned.
If he is willing to, pardon the pun, put his money where his mouth is and sign a deal like that I’d love to have him back. Now will he back up his words by signing on the dotted line? We will see soon enough.
What do you think? Would you re-sign Carroll?
