If you have somehow managed thus far to escape the latest viral sensation, #DamnDaniel, count your blessings. There’s really nothing I can add here, other than to say I’m in the wrong business and link the video. And for the rest of you who know what the hell I’m talking about and have probably seen it several times, go ahead and click again. You know you want to:

The crazy thing (aside from the 660,000-plus retweets and shares) is that Daniel Lara and his buddy Josh Holz, two students at Riverside High School in California, probably stand to make some coin from their 15 minutes. Not only have they already been featured in the likes of The Washington Post, TIME, USA Today, Buzzfeed, and now the one and only Philly Influencer, but now the aftershocks are just starting to hit.
An actual eBay bid north of $300,000 exists for the purported “Damn Daniels White Vans Size 10,” and another for $90,000, along with an ever-growing number of impostors. Guys all over the world named Daniel are looking to change their names. Grown women want to bang Daniel. Hell, Josh is bound to at least get some voiceover work when all is said and done. Even The Karate Kid will never be the same when I watch it.
