The NFL is moving closer to eliminating the kickoff.
The owners meetings in Boca Raton, Florida wrapped up Wednesday with the league announcing two more rules to the seven that were instituted Tuesday for the 2016 season.
Touchbacks will now take place at the 25-yard line instead of the 20 in an attempt to reduce kickoff returns and injuries. It’s a second move in the last five years on the return after the league moved kickoffs from the 30-yard line to the 35 in 2011.

Players will also be subject to an automatic ejection if they commit two unsportsmanlike penalties in the same game.
NFL coaches had issues with ejections for 2 unsportsmanlike penalties and moving touchbacks to 25. Both passed. Owners vote, coaches don't.
