Philadelphia Eagles backup center David Molk has decided to retire at the young age of 27. Molk was taken in the seventh round of the 2012 draft by the San Diego Chargers. He signed with the Birds before the start of the 2013 season, after being cut by the Chargers.

Molk had signed a futures contract with the Birds early in 2014. Last year, he went to injured reserve after suffering a torn biceps injury in the second game of the season. Over two seasons in Philadelphia, Molk played in only eight games.
