We told you about the possible replacement for Kiko Alonso on the Eagles now that he’s headed to Miami [great headline, by the way], and now it’s time to tell you about Byron Maxwell’s possible replacement. According to Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are talking with free agent cornerback Leodis McKelvin, who was released by the Bills this past weekend.
Free agent CB Leodis McKelvin is visiting the #Eagles, source said. A deal could come quickly, though a visit to Dallas looms.

McKelvin spent eight years with the Bills, and Buffalo dumping him was more of a salary issue, as it saves the team close to $4 million on the salary cap. However, McKelvin also has dealt with a rash of injuries the last few seasons, and hasn’t played a full season since 2011.
McKelvin played under current Eagles defensive coordinator, Jim Schwartz, in 2014. He had a career high in interceptions with four. He can also be utilized as a kick returner or punt returner.
Under Schwartz, McKelvin played 10 games in 2014 and had a career-high four interceptions. He also forced a fumble and recovered one that season. Like Rapoport states above, McKelvin could land with Dallas if unable to come to an agreement with the Eagles. Judging from his history, it wouldn’t be a terrible replacement for Maxwell.
UPDATE: It’s official. Leodis McKelvin is an Eagle.

The #Eagles announced they signed CB Leodis McKelvin. I'm told it's a 2-year deal worth just over $6M.
